The Anomalous Organism Security and Counteraction Protectorate is an international organization dedicated to the containment and research of items and creatures which are supernatural, extraterrestrial, or paranormal in origin or nature. It operates in secrecy, acting to supress information about and prevent exploitation of the things it contains. It had been operating for at least 45 cycles prior to the arrival of the Sleeping Devil.

Objects contained by the Protectorate are referred to as SAs, short for Studied Anomalies. They are identified with a series of consecutive numbers, and classified from 5 to 1 based on potential threat to society. There are upwards of 4,000 of these objects, with potentially many more yet to be discovered.

SA-001/Letzen: The Sleeping Devil

Class 1
Dr. Alfred Letzen's proposal for SA-001 appears to be an immortal comatose diety, capable of summoning deadly creatures from within its own body. These creatures are frequently difficult to contain, able to induce paranoia effects, and indiscriminately hostile toward all Zrani.
This being escaped Protectorate custody on 774/***. Current location is unknown.

SA-135: Mirror World

Class 3
An engraved stone disc which enables a person holding it to travel through mirrors, into a different planet. That planet seems to have parallels to Te Ra, but suffered some sort of unknown apocalypse. It is sparsely inhabited by strange, dangerous creatures.

SA-357: The Witch

Class 1
A young Zrani girl with reality-bending abilities. Protectorate personell successfully imposed limitations on her powers by making her believe that she is a witch who must cast a spell for the desired effect to manifest itself. However, she was placed into a medically-induced coma for safety reasons.
Awakened by SA-542-26 on 774/***. Not seen since.

SA-527: "God"

Class 5
An apparent diety assuming the form of a middle-aged Zrani man. Claims to have created the universe, Te Ra, and the Zrani.
Not seen on Te Ra since 764/***.

SA-542: The Red Pool

Class 1
A lake of indeterminate depth, composed of an opaque red liquid. It has been known to spawn vicious creatures hostile to Zrani. It was suspected to be a portal of some sort. A large expedition was sent through in a custom submersible vehicle, but they never returned or reported back.

DWB Note: Basically, this is the SCP Foundation, except not on Earth, and with the identification numbers in octal instead of decimal. Keter, Euclid, and Safe are expanded to 1, 3, and 5, with 2 and 4 reserved for the in-between steps. The rare "Apollyon" designation is Class 0.
