I've been developing the Ultraverse for over six years now. A lot of things have been cut out as the storylines and narratives became more refined. Here's some of the more interesting ones, with context provided if necessary.
Here's a few things from my notes file that are memoirs of obsolete tales.
The below segment was removed because the Alutrianan Vincent character was phased out. This comes from a time when the Ultraverse was just a collection of ideas for interactive quests I wanted to run on imageboards.
crippled vincent introduces fuoa1
"Things weren't always this bad. I've heard that the gods have abandoned this world in favor of creating a new one. This means they either expect us to die, or trust in our ability to rebuild. Either way, they no longer watch over us. Maybe that's a good thing.
..Wait a minute.."
[update 001 and first homage to ruby quest]
"..I'd better not be in a fucking box again."
8/21 or use the text sans waitaminute then splice in bliss talking to vincent, then go to the box
An alternate origin story for Manifold:
Manifold began as an experiment by a crewman aboard the TES
[REDACTED] (an exploration ship) to intentionally NOT recover from
being absorbed into Synonymous. He was part of an away team attempting to gain
access to Synonymous technology and weaponry for the gain of the terran
alliance by learning of it from inside the collective.
Upon his return, he began to study and modify the technology, eventually transforming the ship's Deck 9 into Warsection Nine with the help of assimilated crewmen who otherwise would have died. There were 36 of these individuals and they decided to remain behind in deep space to work towards the destruction of Synonymous while the terran ship returned to its homeworld. Some shuttlecraft were modified and converted into the first Investigation Vessels.
This team invaded and assimilated smaller Synonymous vessels at first, as they had to restore individuality and central purpose to the new Many crewman, but they soon combined their conquered ships into Tactical Vessel 1, the first true Manifold base of operations.
Here's the initial origin story for Tesepa, as well as some plans for Chosha, who I just referred to as Letzen back then. Parts of this are still canonical, but most of it is inaccurate.
After seeing, with Laura's help, that reality really is programmable, he decides to test HOW programmable and reduces the importance and influence of school on his life. Tesepa, the Deceptian homeworld, is created as a place where he can be alone to think or satisfy his urges.
He later influences politicians through appearences and discussions held in group dreams, overriding their previous convictions and convincing them to create and support whatever legislation he wishes to have passed. When the population begins to resist the sudden overt progressivism, he summons Decepticus and uses him as a puppet to invoke the rapture and remove detractors.
His final act is to create or locate isolated fiction universes and merge them with the reality he knows, making it much more fantastic. He has a random cave suddenly contain a cloaked Tesepan shuttlecraft with cryogenically preserved crewmen, and once awakened they take him to the OIV Hypernova, where he is given a prototype nanosuit which protects and sustains him.
From the 2011-2013 Ultracontinuity days come these names for the parts of the overarcing universal storyline.
Or, instead of adlibbing the arcs as I create them, the names could be themed based on the name of the website (Cybernetic Demise), thus
The "LOLOLD" snark is there because the storylines it's referencing are from Tesepa, which is inside the MASS, but they were originally from the story of the Ultraverse's real planet. What I meant by "CDFU original backstory" is that this project was originally just a compilation of my prior work, so whatever wasn't would be under that label.
Ah, I'd forgotten about the Fracture Wars. That warrants some explanation. Before I had the idea for Project CYBERDIE, I was just going to have Origin (Shadow Talon) and Eternity fighting against the rest of the universe. The galaxy that exploded out of LollerCupcake's mind was originally going to BE the rest of the Ultraverse. Unfortunately, due to the number of characters that would have been involved, it was a mess to even plan out, let alone actually try to write about. Also, Temporal Demise was going to be the tale of the Sapians vs. everyone else. Per the name, time travel would have been involved. The last one, Singularity, refers to an old storyline where all sapient life was eventually absorbed into the A.N.A.
I originally had a storyline where Te Ra was destroyed by the Omniscient. This was phased out when I developed the in-between story for Kefaru's Scientius becoming Te Ri's Decepticus.
DIRECTIVE A SOLVED - FINAL BREACH
As it is BY-SA and I am able to freely incorporate it, the SCP Foundation's version of Earth did exist within WU, but was destroyed in AD 1989. This was not prevented by SCP-343, who is the WU deity Terus. He retreated into his pocket dimension with some other dieties and created the planet Te Ri with them. Earth was originally known to him as Te Ra (Terra).
Casualties: Human population of 5.2 billion exterminated
ADDENDUM 2013-05-26 the scp foundation could capture letzen and his small crew of omniscient demolitionists and cover up his forcibly televised explanation of why earth was being destroyed as the premature launch of an upcoming science fiction series via compromised transmitters.
I originally wanted some of Mute Sector's dorm rooms to have a portal to a dedicated and mysterious bathing temple that didn't seem like it was part of the Academy. I later scrapped this idea because it's dumb; they're studying at a school for future mages! I can just write off any wierdness as an act of a warlock specializing in spatial manipulation.
the planet named clash
Clash is also where the bathing temple is - the building is a neutral zone where intertribal talks and commerce may take place without violence, and nudity is compulsory to remove any ability to carry or conceal weapons. Both are enforced by patrols of Batalians. However, the part of the temple that the dorm rooms are connected to is a sealed-off area.
2013-08-06: Thrice grew up very isolated and unsocialized compared to what would be considered normal for a goblin. He finds himself abruptly befriended by his brother's girlfriend, and later her younger sister, who start bathing with him to desensitize and acclimate him to social interaction and female nudity. It turns out the lack of socialization was a deliberate plot by Thrice's brother, to make him more malleable to being trained as a warrior as he was on Clash, where he is known as Twin Knives.
That last addition was me struggling with a bit of dissonance caused by wanting to have a shy/bashful character in what is basically a society of nudists. I would later have Goblins be a freed slave race, so that I could have the shy "grasslanders" that are easily embarrassed by things that wouldn't register to a forest dweller.
2013-11-07: Further Changes
As the planet develops into Clash Alpha, the Ravil and Batalians evolve into the Kozaan and Loxen. The two races learn to accept eachothers' differences and cooperate on converting the island into a space colony. The KLP is born. Chosha later returns, assembles his companions, and commissions the Protectorate to help him in carrying out his revisionist wars in exchange for gaining the technology and infrastructure of the Omniscient.
The subsequent redaction:
2013-12-24: Instead of species renames, Kozen and Loksan were the names of two negotiators who helped form the KLP, and it was named after them in their honor. To differentiate between Cavernous Isle and Ravil and Batalians, the latter are known as Blood Ravil and Blood Batalians, due to both being ruled by King Blood Mask, and genetic alterations made to enhance their races' combat abilities.
I decided to have Tesepans be bird-like, based on some previous encyclopedic writing for my TFU integration. That version of CDFU's reality would have had a naturally-evolved Novian species living alongside a bird-like species known as Kazenians.
